opening c.SCHLINGENSIEF FOR BAK-BASIS VOOR ACTUELE KUSNT, UTRECHT

Catering for the opening of the exhibition 'Fear at the Core of Things' from C. Schlingensief at Bak Utrecht.

The artist requested thai sticky rice with mango!
Why? Because you could eat in the exhibition space itself. After the advice of the midget to follow the white stripes on the floor you will end up in the Thai restaurant! The catering was part of the artwork!

For those who still were not satisfied an extra Thai buffet was ready in a different space.

BK DINNER at BAK-basis voor actuele kunst, Utrecht

In my list of challenges this one can be deleted! I can now say that it is possible to cook for 10 people in a library! A menu of 3 courses was served from this little room.
p.s. I must thank Rene Redzepi for the idea of the starter!

CASCO-GDR OPENING,Utrecht

                                           Casco Utrecht.
Casco in Utrecht is one of my favorite commissioner beside being one of my favorite art institutions. I was glad to cook for the opening of GDR- gran domestic revolution- because of their theme:

Inspired by the late nineteenth-century American “material feminist” movement which brought about what architectural historian Dolores Hayden later referred to as “the grand domestic revolution” by the communalising of kitchens, nurseries and housing, GDR focuses on the question of what difference a changed domestic sphere could bring to towns, cities and society at large today.

The catering was inspired in gardening; a little garden where visitors could 'pick' their own biological vegetables. To please the most there were also some sushi and separetly on another table a vegetarian Mediterranean buffet.

DOS PALILLOS,BERLIN

Dos Palillos Restaurant, Berlin. Photos Jordi Balnch Olivè

During the summer 2011 I was trained in an internship in the berliner restaurant Dos Palillos. This Michelin star restaurant is runned by Albert Raurich and his wife Tamae Imachi. Albert was co-chef in the Catalonian El Bulli for 11 years. where he met Tamae. After their marriage Dos Palillos was born.
So maybe now it sounds a bit confusing: but Yes this is an oriental restaurant in Berlin runed by a Catalonian chef and a Japanese sommelier. Imagine how much I learnd!!!

SLAVE-SUPPERCLUB,Amsterdam

Nyotaimori at SupperClub, Amsterdam.
Slave event.

Finally I could make my dream reality. Serving food on a female belly is such a pleasure. Is a an act of giving and receiving. When Nyotaimori from Japanese literally means 'female body presentation' , Nantaimori means 'male body presentation'. Both of this practice in Japan are not a tradition, they are a fantasy.

EL PALAUET,Barcelona

El Palauet Barcelona.

The meaning of El Paulet in catalan is 'little palace'. In fact the different floors of the modernist construction are rented as private apartments. The ground and the underground floors are rented as special celebrations space. In this occasion I was invited to host a birthday party.

CATERING AZULIUS,Barcelona

Together with Catering Azulius we've been trough different events. This event is special for it weather, location and concept. Attendants were invited to gather in a garden where they would have a choice between fresh made sushi and sashimi, all kind of beer, wine, cavas and cheeses. When the night came an official dinner fallowed to close the party inside the ex-convent.
